Three Government Incentives Powering Solar Growth in WA
Our success is driven by three major government rebates, making solar more affordable than ever before:
- Federal ‘Cheaper Home Batteries Program’: This incentive helps to lower the upfront cost of installing a solar battery via small-scale technology certificates (STCs) and reduces the cost by $370 per kWh of battery capacity.
- WA Residential Battery Scheme: A second battery rebate supports homeowners in adding battery storage to their solar system. This WA battery rebate is claimed by us on a client’s behalf via a Plenti application process. Plenti is a finance company helping to facilitate the distribution of funds to installation companies. This is a $130 rebate per kWh of battery capacity (up to a maximum of $1300 per household).
- Solar Panel STC Incentive: Homeowners still receive a substantial discount when they install solar panels, offering extra savings for investing in clean energy.
These incentives have encouraged thousands of WA households to make the switch, and Geraldton Solar Force is proud to be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution.
Expanding Our Workforce to Maintain Geraldton’s Best Solar Service
As a leading solar company in Geraldton, maintaining our exceptional customer experience is our top priority. To meet the massive demand and uphold our high standards, we’ve significantly expanded our workforce and operations in 2025.
- Installation Teams: We’ve employed additional licensed electricians and trade assistants, all thoroughly trained and supervised to meet our industry-leading installation standards. We now have over 60 employees in this department and are still growing to this day!
- Administration Department: Our admin team has tripled in size, ensuring smooth handling of rebate applications, system designs, and bookings. We’re now installing over 100 solar and battery systems each week, up from around 60 previously.
- Customer Support/Service Team: We’ve doubled our service staff to continue delivering fast, friendly, and knowledgeable support before and after installation.
- Warehouse & Logistics: With increased installation volumes, we’ve also added additional warehouse team members to help pack and dispatch components efficiently to our crew.

To keep pace with the rise in installations, Geraldton Solar Force has expanded our fleet with six new vehicles and trailers. This investment ensures our teams can reach customers efficiently across WA’s Mid West region.
